You seen these people before, you know them, maybe you’re even friends with them. They are alone on a holiday based around being together. Maybe you are too. 

So why not spend Thanksgiving with them?

I’m not asking you to take in a random person (though if you want to…), I am just asking that you think of the millions of people out there who have no one this holiday. Spend your time with them, give to them. Even if it’s just an hour and you only give them a sandwich of a bit of small talk.

You’ll make more than just a difference. Trust me. 

I went to a live show of Rocky Horror the night before Halloween. While we were waiting in line (since it was a sold out show of 500) a woman was going up and down the line talking to people and asking them to sign something.

I figured it was just another crazy church trying to convert us freaks. But, it peaked my interest because if she was insulting my fellow freaks we were going to have a smackdown. 

When I asked her what she had to say what she said really stuck with me. She said that she was trying to spread more love in the world and was being a beacon for love and that she wanted other people to commit to spreading more love around and just to sign a piece of paper saying that they committed to that. I of course signed my name and felt really touched that all this woman was trying to do was to have more love in the world. 

We should start doing it too. So, everyone. I love you!
